James Chapman - Ernie Mac

James is an actor, writer, director and producer, born and bred in Newcastle. He has worked as a professional performer for almost 10 years, appearing in numerous projects on stage and screen. He holds an Advanced Diploma of Arts (Acting) and has worked as a workshop facilitator with several well known drama schools in Newcastle, including Hunter Drama, Young People’s Theatre, Tantrum Youth Arts and Aspire. He is currently the Artistic Director of Knock And Run Theatre, Program Director at Hunter Drama and an Associate Producer with The Very Popular Theatre Company. An award-winning theatre maker, James's acting credits include: Things I Know To Be True and Mamma Mia! (The Very Popular Theatre Company), Trevor, Circumference Of A Squirrel, Year Of The Rooster, Grace and Suicide Incorporated (Knock And Run Theatre); Oliver (Hunter Drama); and Proof, Sleuth and Summer Of The 17th Doll (Newcastle Theatre Company). As director, credits include Two Point Oh and Ajax in Iraq (Knock And Run Theatre), and The Shawshank Redemption (Hunter Drama). He is also host of the popular true crime podcast Man Eaters.
