PJ Willis - Wayne Hopkins

PJ’s theatre career began one fateful rainy weekend in the early 90s, when a friend lent him a VHS of Grease. This would lead to many critically reviewed one-man lounge room productions, until PJ made his official theatrical debut at 18 in Into the Woods (Graceland University, Lamoni, USA). A classically trained singer, PJ moved to Newcastle to commence studies at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music in 2007. Operatic credits include Carmen (Opera Hunter), Candide (Newcastle Festival Opera) and The Gondoliers (Newcastle Festival Opera). A regular in the Newcastle musical theatre scene over the past 15 years, PJ has appeared in The Producers (Metropolitan Players) Avenue Q (Pantseat Productions), The Threepenny Opera (Newcastle Festival Opera), Les Misérables (Metropolitan Players), The Drowsy Chaperone (High Street Productions) and Songs for a New World (Wyong Musical Theatre Company). As a very proud Puff (and a super-fan of a certain series about a certain boy wizard), PJ is thrilled to be making his Very Popular Theatre Company debut in Puffs.
