The Popular Theatre Company was founded in 2006 by producer Phil Collins of Hunter Lifestyle Magazine
with Victor Emeljanow and Daniel Stoddart as co-Artistic Directors.
Its aim was to produce live theatre events of a decidedly 'popular' style, including comedy, farce, vaudeville, music hall and musical theatre, amongst other significant styles.
At the end of 2015, The Popular Theatre Company went into hibernation to review its aims and mission.
In 2018, The Popular Theatre Company relaunched as The VERY Popular Theatre Company. With an unstoppable
force of dramatic energy, there is a new brand and flavour of popular events, musicals
and some secrets that we just can't tell you yet!
