BROOKE LIDBURY WINS THE 2019 VICTOR EMELJANOW LEGACY AWARD 

2019 marked the inception of a new award established to honour the legacy of original Very Popular Theatre Company Artistic Director, Victor Emeljanow.

 

This new award recognises an outstanding individual displaying strong leadership within the Arts community and who has played a key role in upholding the professional infrastructure not just within The Very Popular Theatre Company but of the arts in our region. 

The 2019 award was presented to Brooke Lidbury from Mamma Mia. Brooke was selected from a shortlist of nominees who were chosen by the company's Associate Artists and Producers. 

The winner was announced at a special event at the Civic Theatre after the closing night of Mamma Mia on Saturday 9th November. Brroke was announced as the winner by Victor Emeljanow's daughter  and Very Popular Theatre Company Associate Director, Alexandra Emeljanow.
